Complete second floor addition built in 2014 (Guelph)​​​

​Located in Guelph’s historic old university area, this project transformed an awkward and underused loft space into a spacious, functional second storey. The homeowner needed more bedrooms and better flow, so we designed a full second-storey addition that replaced the existing roofline. Careful attention was paid to the new roof design to enhance curb appeal and blend seamlessly with the character of the neighborhood. The renovation added three bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs, dramatically improving livability. On the main floor, we opened up the layout, introduced a modern kitchen, and added a bright sunroom at the rear. A generous side deck extends the living space outdoors, perfect for relaxing or entertaining. Overall, the project balances smart, efficient design with a strong respect for the home’s historic setting.
