We engaged BLR to convey our vision of a mainfloor renovation to our 1990’s two story home, which involved removing walls (required underpinning), enlarging a patio door, updating the fireplace and a remodel of the ensuite bathroom. Initially, having guidance from the BLR team meant our quotes from contractors were based on consistent plans. This made contractor selection simple and quick. Because of their solid reputation, BRLs work was viewed as accurate and reliable. As we moved into the project, our plans allowed for clear communication between us, our contractor and sub trades. A great example is we had to adjust the kitchen layout somewhat but using the plans as a starting point, found space to still include a pantry and have fridge clearance. Overall, I feel our choice of BLR set us up for reno success - accurate cost, reasonable timelines and a home that better suits our lifestyle.
